Behind the Line

An insert of a writing I authored:

"I started seeing things, everything.
for what they really were
Expiration dates on relationships
well that hurt the worst
After all the time I spent making them,
why couldn't I just keep them?
After all this time to me it was still this giant secret:
Girls like me don't play too well,
And our friendships tend to always suffer
The boys we like to keep,
at arms reach,
as sort of a slight buffer,
Were not special enough for reunions,
Conversations in the dark..
No that's a completely separate world from ours,
One is light and one is dark
And if you picture me in one of them,
I'm sure you're not surprised,
That'd I'd be standing in the dark,
Just waiting.
Again Behind the Line."

Here's hoping you'll #Stay Sparkly
